We’ll be meeting at Kenosha Creative Space, 624 57th St., (NE corner of 7th & 57th, downtown Kenosha) at 6:30 pm. You are welcome to share a short piece–no more than 4 double spaced pages) with the group. If possible, please bring copies so that others may see as well as hear your words. Attendance varies but on average we expect 6-8 writers. You don’t have to share your work until you feel comfortable doing so. You are always welcome to listen and comment on the work of others or just observe. You will find KWG a friendly, inclusive group offering support and a sense of community for all writers and all those interested in becoming writers. Come check us out!

The Kenosha Writers Guild is a free group, open to anyone with an interest in writing. United by our love of the written word, we welcome writers of all skill levels and genres.

 Feel free to share a short piece with the group (keep the document open on your computer to share on Zoom), or just tune in to say hello and tell us what you’re up to. We offer kind and considerate critiques that focus on what’s working.

Submissions are now open for our Prose In-depth Critique. Submit up to 5000 words–fiction (any genre) or non-fiction–by midnight, Tuesday, May 4. Critique will be held Thursday, May 13 on Zoom.

If you submit work, you are agreeing to read and critique all other work submitted. Please read our Guidelines page, In-Depth Critiques before submitting.

If you don’t want to submit work but want to participate as a reader–you’ll be asked to read and critique all submissions–please let Jim Payne ( ) know by the May 4 deadline. He’ll send submissions, along with the Zoom link, to writers/readers one week in advance of the meeting.
