The Kenosha Writers Guild is going into the studio to record its next radio program on Friday, April 18th. If you’re interested in reading your work on the air, please click the image to see the submission guidelines. The recording will be Friday, April 18th, at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, at 3:00 PM. The deadline for submissions will be Wednesday, April 16th. Selected readers will be notified by Thursday the 17th. Any questions, please email Chris.

Thursday, April 10, 6:30PM – Writing for Media – Conversation with Multimedia Artist Jav Rivera

Join us for a discussion regarding writing for various forms of media. Our special guest is multimedia artist Jav Rivera. In addition to writing poetry, essays, articles, short stories, screenplays, and children’s books–Jav also writes lyrics and produces videos and films. Technical writing is also on Jav’s list of accomplishments. Jav has written instructional guides, brochures, and fliers, among other informational media.

The Kenosha Writers’ Guild is going into the studio to record its next radio program on Friday, March 28th at 3:00PM at Gateway Technical College in Kenosha. Submissions must be in by Wednesday, March 26th. Selected readers will be notified by Thursday, March 27th. Open Meeting – Thursday, March 20, 6:30PM

KWG Open Meeting

Join us this Thursday, March 20, at 6:30PM for our open meeting.

You are invited to bring a short piece of writing to share!

This is a monthly opportunity for writers–of any experience level–to get informal feedback from other writers, and to provide feedback on the works of other writers.  The focus is on what’s working in each piece, and what questions each piece leaves the reader with.

In-depth Critique – Thursday, March 13, 6:30PM

Note: We encourage attending at least one open meeting before participating in an in-depth critique.

Looking to get specific feedback on your writing from other writers?

Consider participating in a KWG in-depth critique session.

During each in-depth critique session, writers focus on what’s working in each submitted piece, and what questions each piece leaves the reader with.

Submission guidelines are here.

Submission deadline is midnight Sunday, March 9.
Session takes place on Thursday, March 13 at 6:30PM.
